Hello, everyone. I'd like to introduce my hometown, Yamagata.
Yamagata prefecture is located in northern Japan.It is smilar to human's face in shape.My house is in a new residential area,but when we go over a mountain, there're the old fashioned views that have a lot of nature.
Yamagata has few amusement facilities, but you can enjoy all of the seasons because there're many events and sightseeing area in here.So many tourists visit Yamagata. I introduce each season.
In spring, you can enjoy cherry blossom viewings in each areas. And I recommend to go to Mt. Haguro Shrine. This shrine is a great power spot. There’re many sacred objects and natures. You can get healing power.
In summer, Yamagata Hanagasa Festival is held anually. It is Yamagata's summer tradition. Many groups participate in it, and they perform hanagasa dancing with music.You can also dance with hanagasa in your hands.(Hanagasa is a small shade decorated with flowers.) Let's dance together! It is a lot of fun!
In winter, you can ski in some places. I especially recommend Zao Onsen Ski Resort. You can seeing Ice Monsters there, too. Ice Monster's natural shape is tree. When tree covered with snows in specific conditions, Ice Monster is born. They are rarely seen in other prefecture. Especially, Night's Ice Monsters are very beautiful.

(There’re 2,446 stone steps. Just a few of them, some creatures and fruits are carved like Disneyland's hidden mickey. Have a try to find them when you visit here!)

In autumn, you can enjoy autumn leaves and Imoni-kai(Imoni party). Imoni is a local food of Yamagata in autumn.
I introduce Nihon-ichi-no Imoni-kai Festival. It's cooked about 30,000 cups of Imoni in a very very big pot. The pot is very heavy, so people use a building crane to cook Imoni. The pot ought to be in the Guinness World Records.

In addition, there're many hot springs in each areas. You can bathe at a low price. You will be good feeling, so I recommend to go to hot springs when you come to Yamagata.
